We have been learning about plastic pollution and how it affects the ocean and its creatures. We wrote a letter to someone in our whānau to encourage them to use less plastic.
Dear Mum
Did you know that plastic lasts a long time? More than 10 million tonnes of plastic are produced each year.
Our class joined the Young Explorers Challenge in the Ocean. We have picked up 1170 pieces of rubbish.
Instead of using plastic bags, use paper bags, and instead of using plastic straws, use paper straws.
If you see the same rubbish, pick it up. Help our class get rid of plastic together. We can make a difference by looking after our environment.
